I do not have a greenhouse, so everything is grown outdoors,
which makes it very cold hardy.
During the winter I propagate spores,
seeds and cuttings indoors then move the
babies out to the garden in the spring.
I love to experiment with new varieties
but also grow many tried and true favorites.
I appreciate all your suggestions and use your feedback to make improvements to my sale every year. I enjoy answering your questions and solving your gardening dilemmas. For gardening related articles that I've written over the years,

The Gardens on Cobblestone
have flourished since their inception
in 1998 when we built our house.
Over twenty-plus years,
new plants have been welcomed,
beds have been redesigned
and garden art interspersed
to harmonize with my plantings.
Many of my ideas are inspired
by my travels to gardens around the world.

Throughout the year, I propagate plants from my garden through division, cuttings, seeds and spores. I also divide plants and steal reseeding babies from my daughter's garden in Rochester, New York. Once the plants are established, they are overwintered outdoors in their pots which allows them to toughen up for a long life in your garden.

and like to mix it up every year with several different varieties.

New this year at my 22nd Annual Plant Sale are garden totems, birdbaths and plant stands made from "upcycled" glass and ceramic items. I was inspired by Dale Chihuly, American Glass Artist, when I visited Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum in Seattle. My glass sculptures jazz up your flower beds; add a bit of whimsy to your porch or patio; or add color indoors as a centerpiece or plant stand.
We also painted a bunch of rocks this year due to all the requests last year at the sale. Little did I know that our rocks were in high demand. Hopefully you can find a design that appeals to you!
Check out both the totems (slide sideways for over 100 designs) and rocks below.
